This 'international office' - that's their office in Xinjiang, right? That effectively means we know when we need to be there then. Pleez pleez pleez can we leave it to almost the last minute? Not like THE last minute, but to like one of the later days we're allowed to register so that we can spend as much time sightseeing in North Capital as possible?

Natch. Say we go on the 30th? (Unless flights are stupidly more expensive than the 29th) But certainly no earlier than the 29th.

Purrfickt. I say the 30th and probably around midday/early afternoon time (this allows for no early-morning stress in the morning capital, and time for check-in for hours if required, and also for us to not get to Xinjiang so late that we are struggling around at the end of the day.) Can we assume that we will be able to move into our accommodation from the 25th of August then? Or do you think we can only move in when we've registered? Kind of pisses on our Uyghur-quarter hotel idea though. Possibly could wander over there anyway? What say you? You want to book flights and Beijing hotel soon then? Is best to book together or separate; over intenet or over phone? We're definitely going with the Templeside then? Currently writing my to-do list. Is longer than yours.
